Statuses
The Receipts and Remittances pages in the AutoReceipts dashboard show the status of each email. These statuses work the same way for receipts sent to customers and remittance advice sent to suppliers.
Xero usually takes around 30 seconds to notify AutoReceipts that a payment has been recorded. Once that notification arrives, AutoReceipts normally processes the payment and queues the email within seconds.
Pending/Claimed
These are short-lived statuses while AutoReceipts processes the notice. If your notice is stuck in either status, contact AutoReceipts Support for help.
Sending
AutoReceipts has queued the email for sending.
Sent
The email service reported that the email was sent successfully.
Failed
AutoReceipts could not send the email. Check the status message for details. A temporary problem may be retried, so a failed notice can return to an in-progress status while it is tried again.
Skipped
AutoReceipts decided not to send the email, for example because sending is disabled, the contact has no email address, or a contact-group rule excludes them. The status message explains the reason when available. See Why an email might not be sent for common reasons.
Sending should usually be brief. If a notice remains in this status for a long time, contact AutoReceipts Support.
